What Are Your Values and Are Your Actions Aligned with Them?

Everyone says they have values. Very few people actually live by them. Here's the test: You say health is your value — but are you going to sleep at 3 a.m.? Skipping the gym? Making excuses? You say faith is your value — but are you actually practicing it, or just claiming it? That gap between what you say and what you do — that's the real problem. Your value system is the first pillar of Well-Rounded Excellence, and it's the foundation everything else is built on. Without it, every decision you make is a guess. Every goal you set is shaky. You'll second-guess yourself, waste time, and stay stuck. The fix is simple but not easy: state the value, then honestly measure how committed you are to it. Because if your actions don't match your words — I'm sorry to be forward — but that's not really your value.
